You didn't get them all this month, I'm guessing.

Reading your reply... The buddy point list on the home page would imply a monthly list not indviduals totals

Maybe this should be made a bit clearer somewhere on the list

If You Get Buddy Points What You Sell This Month.
Tapers From 12.98 Down To 5.
With Those 9 Persons Listed.
I Reliase that there might be a lot of persons with 5 down to 0.1.
But Does It Show About Selling Or Not!
cheers Tony:)

sorry folks , but in my opinion it is a complete waste of space....right or wrong....I am entitled to my opinion.............papa.

I would have thought the space on the home page would be better used by showing top sellers or promoting the site itself. Buddy points are meaningless to the majority of folk who enter ebid through the home page

In full agreement. Anyway it is not really comparing apples with apples - some sellers have thousands of listings and others just a few so there is not a level playing field for the comparison.

Better use the space to advertise stores or listings.

Totally agree. This seems to be a waste of space and a lost opportunity to advertise the site or maybe the top ten selling items.

I agree.

Buddy points are my lowest priority as regards this site

Much better use would be made in showing items up for auction or sale

I'm in total agreement. Can't see what the sense is showing buddy points when most folk aren't interested. Or are they?

This same argument happened last time eBid had a revamp, which was when the monthly buddypoints leaderboard was first introduced. :p

I also find the placement of this " leaderboard" on the front page a bit eccentric, not least because it indicates that even the busiest traders here are hardly raking it in, which is counterproductive when you're trying to recruit new members. If it was really something to boast about that would be different, but as things stand it would be better devoted to emphasising the real positives of the site (low charges, growth, friendliness), or at least some more of the products on sale.

The Buddy Points monthly list clearly emphasizes that hardly any activity is occurring with buyers and sellers in Canada. The fact that the list ranks both sellers and buyers together makes it even more pointless, especially when buyers earn more points per dollar than sellers.

Well it seems to have changed from the top 20 to top 10

I'd like to see the closing auctions in that spot. A newcomer just might take a look at one of them.

Even white space would be preferable
