1)Freddie Mills Cruiserweight UK
2)Sugar Ramirez Lightweight,Welterweight,Middleweight Cuba
Sorry, swopmebob, they are both incorrect.
As you say Freddie Mills was British, but he was the World Light-Heavyweight Champion, not Cruiserweight, neither of these boxers are British.
Other clues.
The first picture is of one of the all-time greats of the heavier weights and the second picture is of a boxer who fought at even lighter weights than the Sugar Ramirez you quote. I have never actually heard of Sugar Ramirez, do you mean Sugar Ramos? He was born in Cuba, but it wasn't him either. Sorry.
Jean.
I must now apologise to you. When Freddie Mills won his World title, the Light-Heavyweight division was known as Cruiserweight at that time. So at least you got Freddie's fighting weight correct. Unfortunately, he's the wrong boxer.
Sorry,
Please try again.

you are right, it is definitely Rocky Marciano from USA. The only World Heavyweight Champion ever to retire undefeated.

The second one, which I don't think anyone is going to get is Alexis Arguello. He was the sixth boxer to win World Titles at three different weights. They were Featherweight, Super-Featherweight and Lightweight. He was born in Nicaragua.

TBH, no. I'm not a footy fan either. I used to like playing it, but watching it, hearing about it or reading about it just about bores the pants of me.

These days? Not nearly as much as in times gone by.
Times were that I was into archery, hunting, shooting, fishing, swimming and a few less physical. These days I'm lucky if I get to play chess, juggle a set of clubs or even tiddle a wink. I don't even get the chance these days to practice a magic trick or two. (Although I'm aware that isn't a sport, it was one of my passtimes.)

I'd much rather be involved than a spectator.

Funnily enough Damian,
I was in Cyprus in 1999 and stayed in a terrific hotel. They had an archery tournament and I decided to enter. I was competing against airline pilots, bank managers and such.
Well the upshot is that I won. I also hadn't realised that many of the restaurant staff had been watching and that evening, the waiter came to my table, hesitated and then said, very loudly 'William Tello'.
I often have a laugh about that.
I'm also not a super fit nut, but then you don't really have to be to watch sport, do you?
One of my favourites is Rugby League and NO, it's not because the men have big thighs. I love the speed, skill and the fact that it is a sport that encourages families to watch.
Well that's my promotion for Rugby League done.
I do, do crosswords though, if you can count that.
