Huddylion, I don't think people know how linking can help their stores in search engine ranking and how it brings people to each linked store for additional sales. How do we get the word out guys? At this website you can also learn about "tags" and "meta tags" as discussed below in other topics. Note: the more links going TO your website from other relevant websites outside of Ebid, the higher your ranking will be on the search engines. You will get penalized for linking to other stores outside of Ebid that are low on the search engines. Remember, tell them you would like to mutually link stores. HOWEVER, linking to like stores on Ebid will help you and your competitor make more sales... buyers WILL find your Ebid competitor anyway. Talk to your Ebid competitor and ensure they put your Ebid Store link on their "About Me" page when you put them on your "About Me" page. It must go both ways for both parties to benefit. Find the most searched for Keywords and Phrases that pertain to your products and Store(s): Tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal Write down the keywords & phrases that get the most searches that pertain to your items. Put these keywords and phrases in the page title tags, meta tags and in your content of your auctions and store. Obviously these tags and meta tags will be different for each auction because each auction is selling a different type of item. Also name your pictures on the website with these keywords and also in the alt tag for the pictures. Use these keywords in your advertising sites links. In other words, put your Store keywords in your links that link from your advertising sites to your Ebid store. Finally, instead of using pictures to link to another store, use a link itself. Show your Store Pic (and make it a link) but make sure to put the link to your store below it also. Track how many people come to your website and where they came from Tool: https://extremetracking.com/ It's a great tool to see if your SEO "search engine optimization" is working well or if you need to fine tune your tags & meta tags. It also will show you if your advertising pages are sending people to your store. So you may want to change your tags & meta tags on your advertising pages to get those pages a higher ranking on the Search Engines. Free advertisement: Google Blog Geocities (yahoo) Facebook Myspace Kaboodle Did you know you can submit your store to search engines yourself? You can submit your store(s) to Google, Yahoo, & MSM. You can do this by going to that specific search engine and searching "submit url". Once you’re Store(s) are submitted, it will take 2 weeks to a month to show up on the search engine. I've started off by linking several sellers' "all about me" page to mine. I will go through all the members on here later to add everyone. Update : Have added links to all members on here but for Yorkie, Jimbo and Maxx as you 3 don't have anything in your stores yet. I will be more than happy to add you when you do though.
Welcome to all new mates! I thought we could spread the word throughout Ebid about how to up our store rankings, up our auction rankings, and advertise Ebid. So feel free to invite your friends (it's an open group). Another way we can do this is to copy information from these postings that you feel is helpful and paste them in other groups or forums. Then, if you would, leave a link to this group so those who read the copied info can join too. We need to spread the information throughout the Ebid community as to how to increase our sales and advertise Ebid! I've written two informational posts here teaching what I've learned about "tags", "meta tags", how to link and advertise your stores, and some pretty cool tools to see if your advertising is working and where your customers are coming from. Hush77hush has posted a good tool to use also. It's a site for importing links to your store from pictures you have on web hosting sites... See his post below. As far as how to link to the "About me" pages, you would want to link to your competition. And you want your competition to link back to you. Example; when people search for toys, they may find something they like and go to that person's "About me" page. On that page you should provide the buyer with other sellers who sell toys because that is what the buyer is looking for. Linking in this way may get more sales when buyers jump from store to store when shopping for toys. In my case, I will be selling Vintage and Like New Clothing and Accessories. So I will be asking sellers in certain Fashion Categories to link to me and I will link to them. This is because the buyer is looking for Vintage Clothing or Like New Clothing and I will be offering them other stores that would peak their interest. It's so lovely to see you all here.
