I agree Papa, is not easy to get to group(s) now. I found my way back again through "Forums" > "Community" > "Groups"
Signed up for another group as well.

Coins/banknotes do seem to be hot selling items on eBid now. All sellers are not selling coins/banknotes robustly though. I would like to see this change, with robust sale of coinsbanknotes occurring across the board for all sellers. Any suggestions as to how that can happen?

It may just reflect the usual drivers of business: In demand coins/banknotes; good descriptions/titles, with appropriate keywords; competitive pricing; combined s/h offers or free shipping; and great customer service. All within reach with some effort on the part of eBid sellers. However, some sellers will have the competitive edge, due to buying power, experience, and a customer base.

Hi Martin, and welcome to this group. Feel free to "punt your coins" here. Also, feel free to post a pic. Hoping to see this group become a place where serious coin/banknote sellers and buyers can offer advise, ask questions, make comments, and promote sales/buying here on eBid.

Will plan to check out your shop/items. I also have a coin shop (1 of 5 shops). I ship coins to a few countries due to restrictions. Hope you do well on eBid with your sales. Link to my shop below.

    Thanks Burgyeb,
I will start punting my coins asap then lol
Give me until Sunday to sort out my adds i have over 150 to post mostly older silver Half crowns, Florins, shillings etc etc.
I suppose i do have a question Regarding the American market,
Obviously there's no point punting American silver eagles, Canadian maple leafs and silver Britannia's To American's on Ebid as i'm charging £26 ( $40 ) but is there a market for the older British coins,
I'm just not sure whether Americans would be willing to pay an extra £8 ( $12 ) postal charge on top of the coin price for a recorded delivery, and think it might be a bit too risky to post coins unregistered for the price of £3 ( $ 4.50 )
So for example lets say a Vf + 1942 half crown ( no marks or noticeable wear ) for £10
    with registered delivery that's £18 ( $27 )
As an American coin dealer what do you think ?
    sincerely Martin

Well Martin, my largest purchase of American Silver Eagles came from a UK seller. It was a great deal, including the s/h. I have also purchased direct from the Royal Mint. I paid the s/h fee for registered, signed for mail.

I only ship coins by registered mail, as that is how I read the shipping regulations. I have sold coins internationally, and the buyer(s) paid the s/h fees listed.

I do not sell or buy nearly as many coins internationally as I did before, due to increases in s/h fees. However, I list internationally anyway, nothing lost. If a buyer sees something they want, they will bid/buy.

Have noticed a tightening up in regulations concerning silver, gold, and currency, in various nations I used to sell to. Only selling coins (particularly silver and gold) to about 5 nations, due to changes in s/h regulations. These nations can be seen in my coin listings.

I would encourage you to list internationally, reviewing current regulations from your country.

I like silver & gold modern and older coins. Silver & gold took quite a beating in the markets. Do not tend to respond to the "drops"; but only view it as an opportunity to buy, and a plan to hold/weather the storm. List what you have; set your start bid price at the price you want, or list as a BIN. Set s/h fees based on regs for your nation. Let the chips fall where they may; hopefully sales will be plentiful.

    Give me time mate,
It's taking a little longer then i hoped to get all the coins up due to my pathetic skills in photography, but have now made the best quality photo's that i can and will start to place the adds over the next few days, also been busy buying in a few decent collectables to add to the list, a 1695 william the 3rd and 1818 silver crowns etc etc also a near perfect unc: 1927 Australian florin. in short a lot of goodies even a 1897 copper Victorian medal,
Basically photo's are now ready ( but not the best lighting, however you can see every single flaw lol ) now i just need to upload them with the various info and set a decent fair price.
    It's a lot of work
