What's your 'weepie'?
Everyone has one even though they might not like to admit it... a 'weepie' that is. A film, or even just a scene, that tugs at the heartstrings making you bawl like a baby.
This is the selection from a recent Beeb article:
Twenty films that make men cry
The scene that gets me every time is this one from Schindler's List.

In the movie "Gods and Generals", Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson has been shot, accidentally by his own men. His left arm has been amputated and appears to be healing well, but he's succumbing to pneumonia. His wife and new daughter make it to his bedside. The strength shown by Stonewall and his wife, based on their religious faith as well as their dedication to purpose, is very inspiring as well as sad. I don't share their abilities and the scene is a weepie.

Another weepie I can cite is the part in "Sophie's Choice" in which she has to make her choice. I have been able to watch this movie only once. It's just too much of an absolute downer.

Spyder makes me laugh! But Old Yeller, and Charlotte's Web gave me leaky eyes. These days I prefer comedies and documentaries to tear-jerkers.

Spyder - I've not seen 'Titanic' myself as I thought it might have been a bit of a 'chick flick' at the time? Fair play if it made you cry though... horses for courses ;) :p
Shezz - 'Green Mile' is a great shout
