Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
My glucose readings have settled down now. I had to have a laugh at the local NHS staff, who when seeing their mistake, didn't admit this, but instead decided it was down to me to put it right.
Their on;y suggestion was a medication that lots of people are trying to come off because of the side effects.

I'm on Trajenta linagliptin tablets, one a day, no problems, no side effects.

That med wasn't offered to me and I can't prescribe meds to myself. I just looked on the NHS site for that med and it isn't compatible with my intermittent fasting lifestyle and I can't take it due to other health issues

Ello troops. Ye gad, it's like emergency ward 10 in here ! I'm going to have to get Drill Sergeant Madelaine to get you all out on some of her assault courses to get you fit again ! https://www.animated-smileys.com/emo...lg0n6eS0Ah.gif

I've had a nice weekend with a huge family reunion of cousins and associated family on a farm near Bath and had my half brother's niece and her boyfriend from South Africa staying here for the occasion. It's been a nice distraction to take my mind off all my current problems. I'm also going for a few days much needed break down to the Cornish outpost with my brother once all the clearing up is done.
I'm sorry I haven't been around much to shout at you, ahem, I mean gently reprimand you, for selling our precious listings recently. Some of you already know but for those who don't, I'm now being forced to sell my quarters where I have lived for 36 years by the ex. This news came totally out of the blue with no warning whatsoever after I had been promised faithfully a year ago that I could remain here and after he had spent a load of money on builders to wreck our family home. So now I am facing loads of legal stuff to sort out, having to get my quarters on the market at some point soon and trying to find somewhere else to live. https://www.animated-smileys.com/emo...PlT1WxsvdJ.gif

Intermittent fasting lifestyle, is that an essential part of your regime?

Intermittent fasting helps with all of my health issues. I know straight away if I stop doing this...so for me, it's essential
It was recommended by the people from Diabetes UK

Hmmmmm, I'm about to try getting a phone appointment with my GP, I'll ask him.
I'm seeking a blood test following hospitalisation for a knee replacement just over a week ago when sugar levels were slightly up on all tests, they need to know whether it was a trend, a blip or just those little strips which can be unreliable; I'd have thought there was a danger in fasting if the blood sugar went low.

I get my information from Diabetes specialists and other Doctors in the fasting world. I wouldn't ask my GP for advice as mine is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I only ask my GP for prescriptions because I can'r prescribe meds for myself, or I wouldn't bother my GP at all. Low blood sugars are one of the things to watch out for with the med you told me about, which is why I won't use it. I don't have room in my life for low blood sugar

Thank you Private Cheaver. Yes, hopefully that is where I will be heading as I can't afford to stay in Bath if this place is sold. The BIG problem though is there's not much property in my price range. It seems most of the affordable property has been snapped up in Devon and Cornwall by people who have moved out of the cities knowing they can now work from home after Covid. To say I'm a tad stressed at the moment is an understatement ! I will also need to find another job which at my age isn't easy. https://www.animated-smileys.com/emo...Ro10XAbdJB.gif
