Hi Simon,
I was walking through your garden last night and it looks like you are doing some work back by the little creek. Looked like it is really going to be pretty from the arch I saw.
Don't know how you make some of the things you do. :)
Hi Peggy,
Thank you very much for your kind comment. It's just a little idea I am going to experiment with, which I hope will boost visitiors to the Mall area considerably. It will take some time to put together, but I think it may be worth it.
I'm noticing that visitor's to both the Mall and the Garden are on the increase on an almost daily basis now.
Last night's Daily Draw winners:-

The latest advert is now up and running in the Mall too.:)
Many thanks once agian,
Simon.
Do we know how many visitors look at the adverts Simon, is there any way of monitoring their effectiveness?
Hi Ken,
Sincere apologies for not responding earlier.
There are some indicators, but none are really accurate enough to tell at the moment. We know how many visit the land that the Mall stands on, and how many actually visit the Mall itself. I can also tell various sstastics like who returns the most and how long each 'resident' stays. There is a general trend that traffic is increasing. If we are 'on-site' we can actually see 'residents' touching the adverts to get the additional information. I see this happen a lot.
But to answer your question, I have been looking for a reliable script to actually count the 'clicks' for each advert. The scripts are the little programmes that control things in SL and vary greatly, some work and some don't. I am looking regularly, but finding one is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I am sure it is only a matter of time. The only downside of using a 'click counter', is that even then, it is not going to be completely accurate, as I, Peggy and Wendy regularly click the adverts to ensure they are working correctly.
We have been told on a number of occassions that people have joined eBid as a direct result of our Project and some purchases have been made. The thing to consider with SL, is that when you click something, and are given a link to a fairly unknown web-page, nine times out of ten curiosity alone will make you want to hit the 'load' button. SL comes with it's own Web Browser so the processis very simple and quick to use.
I'll keep the thread updated with any further info, but if any 'residents' reading this come across a 'Click Counter' script, please LandMark the place, and let me know. It will need to be a 'full-copy' version, as obviously I will need too put one in each advert panel. I found one yesterday, but it wasn't a copy version, and the costs would be unrealistic to buy one for every advert panel.
Work will continue today on the new phase of the promtion of the Mall. Further details will be announced regarding this very soon.
All the best for now,
Simon.

Hi Tess,
Many thanks for that! Sounds great, I'll pop along right now and have a good look! No I've not been there. I have to be soooo careful when looking round those places, I can easily come out broke :D.

Hi Tess,
Quick update. I've been to look, and it's a fascinating place with loads of great items! I spent ages in the 'Building Tools' section, as you can imagine LOL, but I was strong and didn't buy any!
I couldn't find a 'click-counter' (I did see a 'Visitor list Maker' though, which we have in the Mall), but I have LandMarked the area and will pop back again frequently. Thank you for the information. If you do see a 'click counter' anywhere on your travels, please let me know.
All the best for now,
Simon.
