Thread: Has Ebay Finally Shot Itself In the Foot?

When feebay sellers have to offer free P & P, ebay wins over and over - they get a bigger FVF, and also Paypoo get a bigger share too!!

I'm astonished that they think nobody would work that out!!
Why not take a quick look at my Stores?

Find all kinds of books HERE

    Find 'Plus Size' Clothes HERE

Find NEW tiny Baby Stuff HERE

    Find 'Bits & Bobs' HERE

That may be how many people on here feel now. It nice here~

But if the serious sellers move here, then it will all change.

They will expect a profit and will leave pretty quickly, if they don't see a return on their investment.

You can't pick and choose who comes here then.

Don't really know what is best.

I love it on here coz of the people, but I sell elsewhere~

Don't want to, wish I could just stay here, but I need the cash.

Seller scams, buyer scams, forums fights, silly rules?

    It's not an easy decision.

The bigger the site, the harder it is to control
Where have you been?...all of those things are already here

Yes, hun, I know there have been some problems.

But you have to admit, not as big as the other side.

However I do owe you a thank you!

Got me thinking when you said that some people prefer not to buy from auction sites.

Never looked at that side of the coin~

In proportion to the size of the site and the money I make here, the trouble has been just as bad.

We also get absentee sellers. I asked a question a while ago.. no reply.. nothing. So some of what appears to be for sale here just isn't.

I would love to see a site, that posted what percentage of their listings each week, actually became sells.

According to Gazza's post no.19 on this thread dated 24th November 2008 they intend to be one of the top online shopping destinations.

    1) Most importantly we have commenced work on a complete new redesign. Our intention is to become one of the top shopping destinations in the world and this requires a layout that is as close to perfection as possible.

Well I hope they work on the invoicing because it's still a problem when you offer 2 shipping options and if the buyer buys more than one item the shipping methods don't work any more because of the weight of the combined items [i.e. seller offers first class because weight is under 13 ounces but then with combined shipping weight exceeds 13 ounces so first class can no longer be offered but invoice still offers it].

In which case ewe don't have a problem, just pick a seller who uses 'private' auctions.

If you don't do that, and rely on feebay's irritating Bidder_1 obfuscation, your secret will be out when the seller leaves feedback for you, e.g. "Excellent buyer, return soon for more of our blow-up sheep!"

Anyhow, you can always claim you bought it for your MD's leaving party present!
