I've started this as a new thread because my comments seem to have been buried by other threads and,I do think it is important that newcomers have a totally different outlook when joining eBid.
I posted a reply agreeing with Mariannes post in an earlier thread.

If you look at the overall design of the site,G&M have geared it so that we, as users, assist in the running of it.The process of the faq page is a good example;only when no help has been forthcoming from posting a question on the forums will support staff respond. Thus cutting down their time spent on answering questions we can help with.
This assistance also applies to the reporting of listings that break the rules. If we can bring them to their attention then that eases their burden on looking for them.Giving them more time to sort out glitches etc that we can't deal with.
Even if you're not sure whether there is a breach,if it looks or feels wrong, report it.They have all the details & can then decide from the facts.
I have always felt that it isn't just the forum members that are the eBid community.Everyone who is a member of eBid,whether they be buyer, seller or just forum user is part of the whole community. As a member of any community we should all feel obliged to report any wrong-doing to the authorities. Those authorities here being G&M."
I also referred another user to the same thread .Newcomers to eBid need to understand that there is no comparison to greedbays "community"!
