Why discuss eB*y news/changes on here?!


How many threads on eB*y discuss eBid's latest news/changes? (clue - usually less than 1)


I no longer sell on eBid (other than YDC) because it didn't work out for me but I wouldn't post a load of negative stuff about them on another site...still sounds a lot like "jealous little brother" syndrome to me.




As for selling outside the UK - I'm glad I do so


I've sold about 80 items in the last month with approx. 50% to EU, 30% to UK and 20% to ROW.

Have said that myself before but got into a bot of an argument about it,so backed down peace loving fella that I am, but I do agree with you wholeheartedly this is ebid, not other place,you couldnt go on and on about ebid over there for to long without getting slapped etc etc, so maybe it shows ebid is a good place for free speech .

I do sell the odd bit over t'other now and then.

I just got their email too. I'm mainly buying on e**y now for items that are not available yet on good old ebid, also on e**y they are calling ebid ebad claiming that ebid is worse than e**y.

Same here. I don't sell on E**y anymore - just here and on a "European" auction site. Over half of my sales go outside the UK.

They were doing that years ago,
then decided any posts that included oposition names
were removed.

I still sell here... it's slow and many people still have not heard of eBid despite all our efforts at personal advertising.
However selling small value items, books and CD's does NOT make sense on greedbay. You cannot make a profit there. \SO
Until sales pick up and eBId filters through as the place that Greedbay used to be (WE really NEED some national advertising) I will still use the other site to sell a large specialist item that I KNOW is in demand, simply because I want a quick sale. I hate doing it but needs must!
I still love eBid.....and sales trickling along...don't waste your time fretting about the other side... just get on with life
