Hey - Thanks for all the replies - nice to see some are still around and nice to meet some of the newer folk too!

As you can see from the time I wrote this - I needed a change of position for a while! The sedative effect of the painkillers will probably click in about 8am and then I won't get up til lunchtime - I think I am keeping the same hours as my cat at the moment - he loves it as he gets to spend time on the bed during the day -not usually allowed!

It is great to be able to stand and walk with so little pain now - and now I have just got to get rid of the extra lbs that have arrived since my darling husband took oveer the cooking! Too many pasties and Chinese Takaways!

Thanks again for all your well wishes and glad to see so many new ones - even from down here (pique).
