    Thats a lovely photo - we stay on a campsite in Holmfirth quite often, there is a fishing pond in the middle and a heron that is amazing but we doubt that there are very many fish left for the fishermen :-) Watching him fly off is spectacular.

    A stunning photograph. He looks magnificent even if he has been naughty. I have to make do with a plastic heron ornament in my garden, would rather have the real thing, only because I don't have any fish a heron can steal!

    Great pic Ken.

    We have a couple around here but they are very shy, I can't get within a 100 feet of the bugga's. We've also got a Kingfisher down on the river and I've not managed to get a photo of that yet, it's way too fast for me. lol

    I live a few miles from Holmfirth, I walk around there a lot in the summer. There's some lovely wildlife to be seen.
