Thread: How will you be doing your shopping this year?

Default How will you be doing your shopping this year?

I know this is a bit early to mention, but I guess there are some really organised people out there that have already started / finished their Christmas shopping. I'm usually a last minute wonder, rushing around on 20th or 21st of December! I wanted to do my shopping online this year instead to miss out on queues and busy shopping centres.

Was just wondering how anyone else was getting on...have you started yet? Or have you seen any bargains online for gifts?

    Nat x

Finished mine, not too difficult really as funds are unfortunately low, so it worked out to one gift for each member of the family, plus a little something for the baby to be. Most were purchased online some months ago, when I had a wee bit of cash, though I did have to go to the store for one item, slippers for my Mom, as she has large and oddly shaped feet, (inherited by yours truly), and so it was necessary to have her try them on before buying.

I'm hoping others have more funds and haven't finished holiday shopping yet; maybe I'll get lucky and snag a few jewelry shoppers who are looking for vintage items.

    Almost forgot, welcome to eBid.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I have been having the same conversation with my sister. Before it became so commercialized , I used to love going Christmas shopping. We used to go around the middle of December , . This meant the whole day and going for lunch. We then used to wrap the presents the next day. These days its full of people that usually are not in the best frame of mind. Queue's , and worrying about someone getting robbed...
So because of the above, I will probably give my grandchildren money , and because of ' lack' of funds , I will invite my sisters over for a meal

In the late 60s early 70s , I used to love going. My sister and myself always booked the same day off from work... having a nostalgic moment here

I start in June and buy 1 present a week. Between Sept and Christmas we also have 9 birthdays so got to buy for them too. Finish about 2nd week in December then can get them all wrapped.

As an Avon rep I've been planning Christmas shopping for quite a while, mostly for other people though

Not that organised when it comes to myself.

Wow, that is organised! I agree with a lot of the comments on here about it not being the same as it was, perhaps I will do my shopping online this year, at least then you can browse as much as you need without hoards of people bumping into you all the time!
