Default UK postage for a skateboard

    Hiya,

I have a skateboard, never used, from my teen days, bought on a whim. I am considering listing it here for sale.

what postal service would you reccomend for sending a skateboard (in the UK), and how on earth to pack it?

    Thanks for all ideas..

I would use cardboard with maybe foam, bubble wrap or even old carrier bags wrapped round for protection. Then weigh and depending on weight I would offer either Royal Mail 1st, 2nd and/or parcel and if over 2kg possibly another such as Collect+ or myHermes.

If you post the details including size in cm (length, width, height) I can price it for you.

This was recommended on one of the forums

I have not used it yet myself but its straight foreward to use the pricing tool.

For Extra Large (XL) or Odd Size parcels the maximum dimensions are as follows:

    • 75cm x 75cm x 75cm
    • 120cm x 50cm x 50cm
    • 150cm x 35cm x 35cm

Was me who started the post, they are great for really large or heavy parcels, for smaller or up to 10kg I would use one of the larger couriers as they should give a more guarenteed delivery time.
