I will tell you there is a lot about Second Life I don't enjoy and much of it includes the atmosphere you mentioned but I do get the opportunity to mention God and His Blessings to others that may even forget He exists.

Glad the Wedding area is getting some good feedback. Once it's completed, I'll take some pictures and do a propper update for the thread. Not much more to do now. Yes, I am really excited about seeing Corrine's Wedding Dresses! I know she has been running some experiments, and these are looking very interesting indeed.

Welcome to the thread. To be honest, our Group has bought around a dozen land parcels in SL, and we all have friends who have bought plots as well, and none of us have had any problems. We have all been sensible though and ran checks and spoken to others that bought land from the land owners before we did. It's pretty much common sense really, like being careful on FeeBay etc..

I've never heard of anyone trying to extort money in SL. If they did, they would be reported via the 'report abuse' link (with a copy of their text sent) and their account would be suspended by Linden Labs.

On the 'Porn', generally you have to actively search for it to encounter it. But if you stick to 'PG' rated areas, rather than 'Mature' rated ones, you will not see any. Part of the ToS state that if you find Adult-themes offensive, then stick to PG areas anyway. Having said that, most 'Mature' areas are not used for that sort of thing (people tend to buy 'Mature' rated land in preference, so that it's easier to sell if needed), and you are fairly unlikely to see anything disturbing unless you hunt for it.

Re. Gambling. There are L$ based games in SL. In fact most of our land was paid for by money raised on 'Sploders' which are free to enter Lucky Draws.
