Jenson switches to McLaren

Jenson Button has switched to Mclaren for the 2010 F1 season, this means they will have the last two world champions as their lineup for the new season. Lets hope McLaren can produce a car that is not so bad at the start of the season as last years effort. Full story here

Which ever way you look at it, at least one of them is going to be disappointed next season, but at least both of them are already world champions so it won't be too much of a disappointment for whoever finishes 2nd to his team mate.

Jenson didn't really have much choice in the matter as apparently Mercedes have taken over the Brawn team and want an all-German line up. Why do the independent teams always seem to get gobbled up these days?

I wouldn't feel too sorry for Jens - he was happy to go to McLaren for double his salary - 7 mill I believe - nice work if you can get it.
Hope Red Bull keep it together next year

I suppose they will have to battle for prime position at McLaren.
I wonder if they are both on the same wage next year.

I was really pleased for Jenson Button when he won the F1 title - he seems like a genuinely nice bloke.

I think he made a bad decision joining McLaren though. Lewis Hamilton will run rings around him...he's the better natural driver and the car has been designed to suit him for years and years.

I salute the move by JB for his bravery (and he'll be earning a few £million in the process which always helps ) but I believe next season will prove beyond a doubt who is the better driver. LH could and should go on to become a legend of the sport.

Lewis will certainly have a bit more support from Jenson as team mate than he did from Kovi who was just not on the pace.
