Some Spammers don't deserve to succeed!

First paragraph of an email I received today:

"Hello,

Am Malcolm Morris, a Colonel in the US Army, a West Point Graduate presently serving in the Military of the 82nd Armored Division Peace keeping force in Baghdad, Iraq. I'm 56yrs single father with a 21yrs old daughter, and I'm contacting you on behalf of my colleagues here in Baghdad, we are honestly seeking for your hands in this partnership to move this allocation valued at {$25million} into your custody for safekeeping."

Now, I know we are "two nations divided by a common language" but that isn't English written by a man called "Morris". And, and this is the killer, the merest acquaintance with the US army will make sure one knows that it is 82d Airborne!

There seems to have been a rash of that type of email over the last couple of days. Must be the time of year.

There is an anti spam campaign going on at the moment...it was mentioned on MSE email. They want every spam email forwarded to a central office so a record can be kept. I will try and find the link

The OFT and Trading Standards have launched 'Scams Awareness Month' and want you to submit scam letters, emails, texts or websites via the Scamnesty website.

Sadly, I've deleted it and spam vanishes totally from Yahoo. If I get another one, I'll send it.

Wish i could bounce them back with a nasty virus.

Generally if you bounce them, they go to some poor unsuspecting innocent's inbox. I was that innocent once. I managed to move email addresses before microsoft closed the polluted one.

Yea, like we haven't heard this one before. Does Mr. Morris share an office with the guy from Nigeria who has 25 million who is waiting to transfer it into our account but needs a little bank info?

Just so that y'all know. There is no 82nd Armored Division in the US Army. The 82nd is Airborne.
