    Yes, a good point.
It's easy for us to put expectations on how long things should take. (Fine & dandy when things are running OK).
But to contend with something major like a PC crash certainly makes us realize the need for patience...

Boy, I do dread the day that my PC goes down. (I think my life would fall apart!)

Whilst I agree about PC's crashing and sorts, in this technological day, we can all send and receive emails from our mobile phones - I have messaged the seller about the item. But the overall question is, why is the seller only listed as a buyer - should I discount this purchase and source my item from elsewhere?

Hi again Loopymoo, I personally have no internet mobile phone but if my computer crashed I would be at the Library to let everyone know I had a problem. I think if I were you I would send message(s) via the AAL - if you hear nothing over weekend then I would write to support and sort it from there. You have contracted to buy - if you bought elsewhere & your Seller then got in touch to proceed with the sale you could be in the position of having to buy both. Support needs to resolve the issue for you I feel - but this is my opinion only. It is what I would do. Fortunately my own situation is different - I don't particularly care about the item now & will not source it elsewhere.
Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

I do not have a cell phone which I know is a rarity in this day and age. I live 15 miles from the library but with these reasons stated the real reason for not getting excited enough to find alternate way to communicate is I rarely have those sales! If I had known I had a sale before the crash I would have used a granddaughters computer to take care of it. Also I knew I would have the computer back or another one purchased in less than the 5 days I state as a time frame for completing the sales.

Anyway, until the unexpected happens to you it is harder to see the other side of the situation.

The question about a buyer being able to sell is one I think I have seen on the forums before but don't know the answer to.

    Hi and welcome!
I just had a seller take ages to send a combined invoice for 2 items. He was a newbie to selling and wasn't sure how to combine items, but he did keep in touch and we got it sorted.
So it can take time so hopefully you will get your invoice soon. Sometimes tho some don't seem to respond- a problem which runs thro many threads, but i think ( and in my experience) these are few and far between.
It raises the question about paying before getting the invoice, some of my buyers pay straight away without an invoice, indeed I have done myself. Maybe it is risky but if you keep all the details of the auction it helps if there are problems. Most sellers will send invoices pretty quickly cos thats what were here for to try and sell (and buy of course). I think the majority of us are honest!! (from my experience anyway!!)

    Cheers Alan

Yes, sometimes you have to leave negative feedback and use the blackball, I used it once and they seemed to disappear from ebid soon after.
Fortunately this seems to be a rare occurance, hopefully!

    Cheers, Alan

Well that's been nearly a week and nothing from the seller, is it time to contact the moderators now?
