    Default Urgent!

A mass email *has* to go out to all seller and seller+ members advising them to check their listings for missing/partial descriptions and asking them to contact yourselves for help in restoring them. Yeah, you're going to have a load of unhappy members but they're going to be a darn site more unhappy if they find out for themselves when it's too late to do anything about it.

This is not a problem that will go away by ignoring it and the longer it goes on the more out of date the backup becomes.

Great idea. This approach will alert all who need to know in a timely manner. Sure hope G&M stop by for a visit and respond to the recommendation.

Completely agree. The boys need to be seen to be actively sorting this one, not hoping it will go away.

    Where's Gazza?

    He's in the piano.

What's he doing in the piano?

    He's Haydn.

I wasn’t aware of a problem until I read this thread. The suggestion would be absolutely no help to me. I have 5,600 listing and it would take far too long to go through them. We need a way to detect the problem, maybe something in advanced search to locate listings that might be affected.

LIkewise. I have over 8,000 listings, and simply havent got time to go through them.

Already identified 127 in one store category alone.

Unfortunately they will have to stay that way until January at the earliest.

The problem with that is it can be difficult to search for something that isn't there.

I've had a look at some of your bus listings and they seem okay. Do they all follow the same format - starting with location and ending with payment options? If they do, use the 'title and description' option and search for 'location -cheque'. Check any results you get from that search for missing descriptions.

Before you do that, read the following post. If none of it applies to you it's unlikely that any of your listings have been affected.

Question from the peanut gallery: is "typed out in full in HTML" the same as using the listing template without making any modifications?

Best wishes for many sales to all,
