    Saying prayers for all involved.

Having gone through the same thing last May when our town burnt, I can relate to all the stress and worry that the locals of Tavira are going through.

As has been said earlier in this thread, the most important thing is the safety of the people including those that live there, those that are fighting the fires and those that help with the cleanup and rebuild.

Rebuilding takes time, We are just over 14 months since the Slave Lake fires and are about half done the rebuild. The emotional scars last a lot longer, some people may never get over it. Do watch for loved ones and people you know that need support and encourage them to get the support that they need.

Once again, I'm praying for the people from Tavira.

So glad you are OK. My kids lost everything a year ago in Feb. so I think we know how you feel. They have been involved in the latest round of Colorado fires but this time they lost very little.

    Hang in there.

thanks again for all your concern
we lost the small house in the countryside which was our main source of income for renting
luckily it was empty at the time, so weīre a bit stuck for cash after that.
the portuguese government is talking about compensation, but like everything here, it will take forever.
so come on and buy my stuff lol, itīs not fire damaged
i donīt know how i can still make jokes, but onwards and upwards
    thanks again..........ROY

Roy, glad you're OK, though I'm really sorry to hear about your house; I know how devastated I'd feel if anything happened to the cottage in NY.

Hang in there and stop by the Lounge, drinks are on the house.

    BIG HUGS,
