Canada Post .... Ya gotta love em. Costs are excessive and service is poor.

I once sent a mandoline to Greece from the UK. It was quite heavy and the postage was expensive but the buyer was happy to pay it. Packed it up, off to the Post Office and sent it Airmail. Delivery was staed as 3-5 working days, after about 2 weeks the buyer contacted and said it had not arrived, agreed to wait a little longer, after a month still no delivery so I refunded and put in a claim. Recieved my cheque from the Post Office after about another month so at least I had not lost out. A couple of weeks later the buyer contacted me to say the item had finally arrived, apparently he was on one of the Greek islands and they sent it by air some of the way, and by ferry via several other islands the rest of the way. We decided to split the refund I had recieved and he got the item half price.

Its not so much the transit times.
Its when they catch the plane
And customs at the other end etc.

I air mailed a bust of Tutankhamun from the UK to Malta, took 2 days to get there, don't know who was more delighted, me or the recipient.... Posting abroad worries me....
