For years, I faithfully bought original cartridges for my printer believing that it would be to its detriment if I used compatibles.

I now buy a whole pack of compatibles for the price of one original and they are excellent. Wilkinson Stores also do a good range at a fraction of the price.

That's what I do for my Brother printer/scanner.

When we had Canon printers, we used to buy the big bottles of ink and refill the cartridges using a syringe And guess who got ink everywhere ...............

I love my Lexmark all in one. Sad to see them go. Hope I will be able to get ink until it decides to kick the bucket.

I would imagine Lexmark owners will still be able to buy "compatible" inks for long after the printers stop being produced.
