Can anyone help me find the 'magical wishmaker'?

It's been a while, so hello to all oldies and newbies alike, hope everyone had a lovely time over Christmas and New Year and I wish you all successful sales for 2014

Now to business ... the business of tracing my 'magical wishmaker'.

Some time ago (years), while running challenges on here, I began a charity sales auction for what we called the magical wishmaker - it was a brassy coloured, ornate disc of little to no monetary value, but we passed it from seller to seller by way of the YDC, each buyer promising to relist it the following month and all proceeds going to charity. There were stories attached to the item and each month we updated to include tales of good fortune experience by the temporary keeper of the wishmaker.

Unfortunately, through time and a lengthy absence from here (another house move), I completely lost track of this item but would love to track it down. To do that, I need your help.

The disc was given to me by my elderly gran, who has now sadly passed away, so I am trying my best to find this object and have it back in my possession as a small reminder. I know it was just a tin embellishment from a belt rescued from the bin but it would mean a great deal to me if I could find it - if it is still out there.

If you are a long-standing member of eBid and the eBid forums or used to take part in any of the NYK challenges or perhaps even became the 'keeper of the magical wishmaker' during the fundraising, I would really appreciate your help to track down the wishmaker.

Can anyone here help me?

In the meantime, I will continue searching old files for a photograph of the item and add it here if I find one.

Thanks, bluebedouin, no reply from them so far but at least they should be able to draw a line under my chances of ever finding this again.

Suesjools, this item was around for a long time helping to raise funds for charity both here and elsewhere. The agreement was that whoever bought it had to relist in the next YDC, as per the tale attached to it. I was hoping to get back to a few more eBid challenges but decided to try and trace the wishmaker first.
