    Default App Push Notifications

    Hi All,

We're in the middle of adding Push Notifications (PN) into our iOS and Android apps.

As you know we have many different times we send email notifications out for many different situations currently. We won't send as many Push Notifications as it will annoy the hell out of people so we will be limiting it to the most important.

The next version of the app will have our first PN, that being the "BuyNow - You've Sold" notification but we will add more as time goes. Which do you all feel are the most important to buyers and sellers? MaO, Bids, Favourites, Closed, Reposts, Q&A, Feedback etc etc??

    Thx
    G

MaO and Q&A would be most important, I feel.

Well done for getting the apps out.

I don't know if I am qualified to comment as I can't run the app...

I would have thought though that those notifications that are Buyer orientated should be the priority. Seller notifications (Closed, Reposts, Feedback, etc.) should be left to the main site - at least until the Buyer mobile experience is complete.

When I've used the app, those are two missing features that I noticed right away and missed. I agree that any that help the buyers are important. Thanks. :-)

Q&A, Bid, and MAO....I would guess. Don't use the ap yet, but those seem the most time sensitive.....esp Q&A.

For Sellers a notification of New Offers , Questions , Buy Now and Successful Auction sales, bids don't need to be notified. and unsuccessful auctions don't need notified. Perhaps a Not Marked as Sent after a 5 days.

For Buyers, Accepted Offer, Out Bid, and Auction Won, there is no need for notifications for buy now items apart from a Unpaid Notification after 5 days.
