When I changed from 32bit XP to 64bit Win 7 I stopped using a lot of Microsoft products. Office was replaced with Open Office; the only loss there was FrontPage which I found a better and free replacement for - though still an MS product. Outlook was replaced with Thunderbird - which I found far better and more flexible. I had already switched to Firefox over IE so nothing changed there.

I tried open office but gave up on it, I am also annoyed about front page, have put thunderbird on but it's taking a while to get used to email going to different addresses instead of just coming in to one inbox, have tried another word processor jakata or something, my files are all in there but are coming through as gobeldy gook, I hate it and am going to try and load XP pro in to my old one and get a connection, all this because BT decided that the hub 2 does not really work with older machines, either that or i leave the internet altogether. I even took achance and loaded works but only a sort of spread sheet will work

I replaced FrontPage with MS Expression Web 4. This was a commercial package but was releases free when they abandoned it. Not totally abandoned, as I still got some updates for it via Windows Update.

I can only assume you never had the misfortune to use Vista.

Got to admit though, using Windows 10 quite happily on a number of PC's. It's certainly far better than Win 8 although still a bit of a shock to the system when you're used to Win 7.

It wouldn't download or it wouldn't install?

If the latter: download first, right-click on the installation file, select Run as Administrator.

I've never personally tried it on Windows 10, but the forum says it works.

Probably best to also get the Service Packs 1 & 2.

    SP1: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=1787

    SP2: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/down....aspx?id=26699

I'm not sure if SP2 includes SP1, so best install them in order.
