I have done rather a lot of this moving stuff - set up a forwarding arrangement with the Post office - pay for a whole year - honestly, anything less will mean you lose stuff.

Before you move inform your banks, building societies, insurance companies etc, etc.. write to them, tell the the date. Change the details on here as close to the time as you can but before you move. Don't forget to tell the DVLA about both any vehicles you own and to change the address on your driving license. Not doing this can land you in court - no huge rush - do it after you have moved but don't forget to do it. It is free.

Sorry Paula, I didn't realise that when I replied and others may have followed on from there.

your av? what is that (my advice was good, even if you didn't ask for it - I've moved house 14 times including overseas moves)

    Hi there,
I have just moved house and had to update all my details. I updated them on eBid via 'my personal details' and did the same with PPPay and my other payment options. The bank updated my details within a day of my handing in the letter of confirmation and the eBid 'av', which I assume is your 'address verified' sign, wasn't affected at all. As far as I am aware, this just shows that your postcode on eBid matches the one on your credit/debit cards, as long as you update all those details then there shouldn't really be any problems.
I left all my auctions running throughout the move and the eBid service remained free of any interuption.
Hope this helps and good luck with the move.
