Earth Tremor

Does anyone live in the North West,
We have just had a Earth Tremor or my house is Haunted,
Everything started shaking for about 2 seconds.
Please put my mind at rest and tell me it was a Tremor.

It wasn't a tremor, it was an earthquake !

Apparently it measured 5.2 (or .3 or .4 - depending on where you read it).

It woke me at 1am this morning, but scared me so much I put my head back under the bedcovers and tried to get back to sleep

We get so many flippin' quarry lorries speeding over the speed bumps down our road ... I wouldnt notice the difference - makes the damn house shake every day.

My neighbour was sitting in a chair owned by her late sister, when the chair shook she thought it was a ghost but she was relieved when hearing about the tremour on the Radio.

My sister said all the neighbours were standing in the road in their dressing gowns and the birds came out of the trees and sat in the road with them!! Weird!! She is in Grimsby - I didn't feel anything in Leeds.........but others did!

it was weird cos i woke the second before it happened 12.57 am precisely! The wardrobes shuddered & the rumbling was really scary, but i knew it was a quake immediately. An eerie silence followed. we live in Leicester and often the tremors have their epicentre in Stoke on Trent, so was really surprised that this one was in Lincoln.

My mum lives in lincolnshire and she phone me this morning to tell me that she was up at 1 this morning , she said the house was rocking backwards and forwards and that her parrot was going mad in its cage i fort she lost the plot,even mum didnt no what was goin on as she has no electricity then my brother phoned and said there had been earthquake there

Well in our area it was measured at 4.7. And I was lifted out of my bed
