Unhappy Help Please - Paypal printing problem??

Never had a problem before but a week or so ago when I tried to print a packing slip from Paypal the printing came out all blue and looked encoded - used to be black and in English!! Need info for a lost parcel claim - unless PO can deciver the nonsense printed, not sure I am going to get very far!?

The same thing has happened tonight as well - anyone else had a problem??

Does anyone know how I might cure this - I use Mozilla.

Thanks and Happy New Year to you all!

You're not going via PDF at all are you? I know there's a bug with firefox and pdf writer.

Does the page look okay on the screen? Is it just when you dump to the printer that it goes wrong?

Don't think so?? I am opening paypal then going to transaction details to print a packing slip, so it shouldn't be PDF.

Looks fine on screen and turns to giberish via the printer!! Was fine until a week or son before Xmas

I'd try updating your printer driver. I'm off now, so I hope you get it sorted tonight, otherwise I'll try to think of something else tomorrow -- but there's plenty around more techy than me, so good luck!

It's probally as mentioned about the drivers unless you are out of ink. Mine acted all goofy until I finally let HP check for software updates for mine. 100% after that.

Have updated drivers - sadly made no difference; still printing as giberish!!

Coloured ink low black fine - not sure that should make a difference though??

Am really stuck with this - tried looking at Samsung site for help as well, nothing there either.

Don't really know when it went funny, so not sure when to roll back to?? Definitely sometime in December and I can't really remember if I might loose anything important going back that far!!

    A real mystery!?

Perhaps a bit of reverse psychology might work then... if the problem isn't being caused by going via PDF, perhaps you could try going via PDF? If you don't have full-on Acrobat to achieve that, there are freebie PDF makers out there you can try - and cheap permanent offerings (I use cute pdf for this). If you print to PDF, then print the PDF to the printer, you could end up with a working version. A lot of faff though!

Have you tried getting as far as the seeing the page on screen, then copying all into a word document and printing that? Not a permanent solution I think, but might get this particular one you need printed?

Have you tried printing from IE instead of FF?

Sorry, these are all workarounds rather than solutions.

Have you got the latest version of FF?

Have you tried using the print-preview add-on?

er... flailing a bit now! I really thought the driver would fix it!
