Has Ebay Finally Shot Itself In the Foot?
Ebay announced sweeping changes starting from February. They are reducing listin fees, but are forcing all Powersellers to register as business users.
More concerning for the Seller is Ebay will not allow sellers to leave neagative feedback regardless.
Total uproar on the ebay forums. I reckon we will be seeing some new faces soon : )

It shot itself in the foot 18 months ago, it's now working on it's other body parts, it may have trouble finding it's brains though!

im new
hi guys ive just come striaght over here form the ebay forums, myself as a seller am appalled at the way we are being treated. we cant leave anything but positives for our buyers, even if they are nasty and dont pay, yet they can leave us poor genuine sellers negs.
i do really hope more follow me here and ebay see they cant treat us like this.
i never been here b4 but can i ask, if i only register as a small seller can i accept paypal as i can see only a tick next to paypal checkout next to sellers with the plus sign.
i only want to accept cheques, postal orders and paypal but only want to be a small seller not a seller plus
regards natalie

You can accept payment by whatever method suits you regardless of your membership level.
Seller+ members get an integrated checkout for Google Checkout, PPPay and PayPal. Seller members can accept these (and other) payment methods but have to send the invoices manually from the payment provider.

I am also new here.
Question I would like to know are there many members from the USA here.
It looks like most of the members here are from the UK. Any USA members how are your sales here? I am trying this site out by listing some of my items, if this is successful I will close down my ebay store and list here

Hi, Welcome to eBid, the UK Site has been running for around 10 years now; but the American,Canadian and European sites have all opened more recently. There are also some others that came on line this week.
If you have a look through the "promoting your eBid store" section of the forum you will find lots of good advice on how to help yourself get sales. It is different to greedbay in that you need to actively promote yourself rather than sit back and wait for the sales; also less busy but things are improving. Good Luck.

Ken.
They need to have a brain to start with.
Now greedbay have lowered the listing fees by a paltry amount, whacked up the FVF.
Natalie.
When you get sales from greedbay put a Ebid flyer in the parcel to tempt the buyers to come here.
Gothchina I think does a free flyer you can adapt for your details.
