Getting the word out

Mark and I really appreciate all the promotion we receive from eBidders telling others about us. This thread is for people to swap ideas on how they are promoting their own auctions and eBid Stores and thus helping to promote eBid.

Chat rooms, forums, email signatures, MySpace pages and review websites are all great places to add a link back to eBid. If you want you can link back with your own Buddy Link and earn Buddy Points for referring people. We also have an affilaite program that will pay you for each new eBidder that clicks on your link and joins as a Bronze member. We will also be adding higher payments for these users upgrading to Platinum very soon.

One thing we do ask is that when linking back to us please always use these words somewhere in your link text. "eBid", "online" and "auctions". This will help us rise to the top of google searches.

Would it be possible for you to include in this thread the methods of promotion you are currently employing, so we know what's already being done? For example, press releases, have these been made available yet?

I have set up a webpage for the SS2BM promotion that starts today and eBid has a mention on that. Hopefully the SS2BM campaign will awaken a lot of people to the alternatives to eBay.

i have listed ebid on my site www.etradedirect.co.uk i shall be removing the other link within the next week, and moving the info, higher up the page.
A new page will be created soon, which will have link's to ebid stores (with ebids permission), i'll also will be looking into linking the stores with store keepers referall details again with ebid permission.

Hi, I have my own website www.cfssufferer.com, not sure if I can post that here but delete if necessary! Not too many hits right now, but I'm working on it, I can also post links to Ebid in (many) forums I frequent. What I am wondering is, do I fill out a separate application for every website I am planning to link from?

So I'm new to this: what am I missing?

you can join ebids affilaite programme via the clixgalore link in my sig, u can place a link on your website and earn cash for each member that joins through your ebid link
For the forums i would use your ebid referral/bubby link to earn yourself buddypoints.
you don't need to fill out seperate forms, the buddylink is yours to promote

OK - I am still trying to get to grips with this - what can i do with buddy points? Are they worth much money and how do I earn them? it isn't too clearly explained for me..

You can use Buddy Points to bid on the Buddy Points auctions on the Ebid Home Page.

Log into the section of 'My eBid' where it says 'my buddy points' and there's an email form you can fill in to invite all your friends to come and join. There's also a URL / link that can be copied and pasted into your email signature, profiles or web pages for people to sign up, which gets you buddy points. Good luck with your 'recruitment'.
