Could the defaults be changed enabling us to decide which page is the first to be shown on the "my eBid page"; at the moment it is set to what has been bought, but I would prefer it to concentrate on sales.
The page defaults to the last viewed.

    Default Buddy points change

I've noticed there's been a change in how the buddy points league is displaid on the home page. Although I liked being on the home page (under the old system) and it probably got me the occasional extra sale, I can understand that for new users it could take a long time to get to the front page, and so you're trying out a new system. However I was very concerned to see how many zero feedback people were on the list - people who had gained buddy points from recommending others only rather than from any kind of trading.

A list of names with zero feedback could scare off new users as it makes the site look unused ( especially whilst we have zero feedback and empty shops on the front page too).
If you have decided to stick with a monthly table, could you consider excluding those who have not traded on the site
( you could argue they are manipulating the system, gaining points by recommending each other, but adding nothing to the site) by bringing in a minimum feedback requirement.
Or if you're still making your minds up, Please consider that the original list demonstrated EBID has lost of succesful buyers and sellers and is a vibrant community to join

Gazza, thanks I hadn't realized that.

Val, I agree lots of zeros are not good.

    Hi HannaHolly,

The Buddy Points system was and still is primarily set up to get people to invite people their friends to come and buy on eBid and to encourage people to buy from the sellers already on here.

It is still in its infancy although it has been around quite a few months now, as with all of eBid it will develop as time goes on and input into how it can be enhanced is always welcome and will be taken on board. The only major change was when we changed the methods of awarding of points when as a few users had started to take advantage of it when it first started.

    Thanks

    Default My Notices

Would it possible to reinstate a highlight onto these so that they stand out please. At the moment they just blend into the listing. Thanks.

    Default My Favourites

Hi, would it be possible to tweak the "my favourites" function so that it can pick up exact matches on the items requested?

I have a search on for Zadie Smith, but apparently the search facility picks up any Smith..... Deliah, Wilbur and many more.
