Phil, it is likely that it is something to do with your Internet Explorer settings.

Thanks, I checked on my wife's pc and the page was fine, so I have updated my internet explorer from 10 to 11 and all is well now. Hope this helps if anyone else develops the same problem.

Just tried it in an IE10 renderer and all still looked OK. Could you have been running IE10 in 'Quirks Mode'? That can cause some odd results.
