Google Checkout

Hmm, s'me again ... I found where you register for google check out, but it keeps wanting me to sign up for an account with my googlemail user id. I actually use another for my paypal payments (have done for years) and it's what I'm registered at this site with.
How do I make it through to register an account but not with the googlemail account it wants me to?

Do you have to pay any fee to join? apart from the transaction fee do you have to pay anything at all e.g each month for having a Google checkout account?
Ive had a quick look today and cant see any charges, but Im sure when I looked a few months ago I seem to remember there was which put me off. Im too impatient to read through instructions (as my husband will confirm) I just like to know the basics in simple terms.

I went back into Google Search for 'Checkout' afew hours ago & managed to get the right area, where it asked for bank details & other setup info..

I now have the 'ID' but not the 'Key' - I imagine this part is finished when I confirm Google's deposit in my bank acct, in a day/two.

So... so far so good, back to the waiting game

You can put anything you want for the business name. I would advise against putting your name as whatever you put in there shows up on the buyer's credit card statement.

Just make something up relative to what you're selling. If you were a Pirate and you were selling swords,, you could call it Pirate Joe's Swords,

There are no fees for a google checkout account. they take 2.5 or 3 % out after the sale.
NO monthly or signup fee's It's really easy..

** Can anyone answer the 'KEY' (Google Key) question pls?
I've added my Merchant ID but can't find any mention on the Google pages of 'Merchant Key'

sorry.. Found it in the Other Google thread

"Your Google Merchant ID & Merchant Key
are to the right of the Google Checkout
Settings - Integration page
under Account Information.
You need to add them to eBid.

You should also see the screen Hypno has posted,
it is there you need to add eBid's info to google."
