Thread: I Was So Happy That I Sold Something!

  1. #1

Default I Was So Happy That I Sold Something!

    ...or so I thought.

I log on to see that 6 or 7 items have been 'sold', but the username of the buyer has a strikethrough and is requesting feedback (I don't know if a feedback email is automatically generated after winning an item...)

    *sigh*

Hopefully, this will get sorted out and we will both be happy.

No they are not auto generated, the person has to send a feedback request.

How long as the member had a line through their username? They might just be having their account reviewed.

Okay, I just checked and they just joined yesterday, so that's probably the case. Their account in process...I know that strikethrough can mean other things, too, other than a new account...

It's a bit strange they're requesting feedback so quickly though (unless they got mixed up and pressed the wrong buttons). Have they already made payment?

edit. sorry i just checked your feedback and see you have been left feedback by someone with an invalid address - London is not in Bedfordshire!, plus they've been bulk buying- i can tell by their buddy points total. It's also very irregular for buyers to leave feedback before they receive their items. My advice is email ebid support and ask what's happening with that buyer, ask if you can have any fees reimbursed, and if you can relist your auctions. The one piece if good news is you'll probably get to keep the positive feedbacks!

No, they haven't made a payment.

I don't send anything without payment!

Yeah, it's a scam. They're upon closer look all 14 (yes, they supposedly bought 14 items!) are spoof emails, with link advertisements for online dating or free shopping in them.

    Jeepers!
