Default Ebay has lost another seller.. ebid had gained one

Ebay have lost the plot... negative feedback cannot be left for buyers PLUS negative feedback cannot be withdrawn mutually any more AND if you get negative feedback whatever the reason they suspend you. My friend has just been in hospital seriously ill and yes, she couldnt post anything and yes she got negative feedback. So she comes out of hospital and resolves the issues, buyers are happy - but they cannot retract the negative feedback so ebay suspends her... CRAZY

We all need to drive the ebayers here to benefit everyone.

    We're trying...

I've been posting on the eBay forums for the first time ever.

I'm scared to actually list anything over there, even though I've now got a large job lot of around 70 boxes, about 2000 books, that need to be shifted that are not suitable for Amazon selling, (they're wholesale books for face to face shops and boot salers because they weigh too much to be profitable - I weed out all the Reader's Digest and anything out of date in the way of computer manuals, law books, text books, atlases etc. the usual charity shop rubbish), and I'm overwhelmed by the quantity anyway to list them all individually on here.

I normally do a BIN for around £80 and they go very fast - but, and it's a big BUT I have 100% feedback, no neutrals and no negs, and I'd be very very upset if that got spoiled with no chance of being able to do anything about it. Even on Amazon the customer can remove it when they've been suitably mollified - which is why I also have no negs on there either in nearly 1300 feedbacks. I might try listing them on here, but they need to be gone quickly, I can't be doing with waiting for months for them to sell. I guess there's always the tip though...

I don't understand why eBay can't see why it's important to people who care about their customer service, that they maintain a high feedback rating.

Likewise Hazel, I feel the same I don't wont to list on eBay as 99% of the times my sells run nice and smooth but it only takes a 1% right little s***t of a customer to muck up a fine sells recorded that you have worked hard building over the years by giving good customer service and now you cant do anything to solve things out over there you just have to take it on the nose..

well i never gave a monkey`s about feedback when selling on wepay lol i had some real dreadful buyers and i don`t mean them sort who want a discount i mean the type who call you everything under the sun through emails then act all nice when going through wepay , the type that decide to pull your details and phone you at 3:00 am

those buyers got the off from me in feedback and i never cared what they gave me back

too much emphasis is on feedback the lack of american/canadian viewers / buyers was the worse thing for me , selling sports cards etc. they were my main big bidders

Well Merlin, the only problem with that is if you collect more than 2 neutrals in a 30 day period, its instant suspension, followed by permanent suspension if things don't improve (although they clearly don't want improvement, since if you can't sell, you can't improve...).

You are then banned from both buying and selling.

Not sure how they think that is going to help their sales, but there we go, eBay brains are clearly in short supply, I think the communal ebrain cell got captured and is probably being held prisoner somewhere in the middle of the Sahara where no one can find it.

Red face New from Ebay with Concerns

I, like many others am really sick of eBay and have decided to make a change. This site looked good, so I spent days and MANY hours redoing my auctions and uploading pictures. I have people looking, but no bids. I have looked through virtually thousands and your listings and have not seen one item that was bid on. Am I missing something? I also used eBay to check completed items to see what an item was worth. Is there a way to check on sold items? I really don't want to go back to eBay, but I do need to sell my items.

Do both, if you have to sell them quickly - and then send your customers to repeat purchase in your shop over here, like you would if you had an eBay shop. I think that's the theory anyway, I've seen that mentioned time and time again on both forums.

I have now changed all my promotional flyers to include eBid as an option, and also mention that in many cases items are substantially cheaper due to reduced selling fees.

I sell around 350 items per month on FeeBay, which equates to around 4000 customers per year notified of eBid. If we all did this then things would soon improve on here. I have many other ideas in the pipeline too.

firstly remember ebid usa is a toddler at the moment it`s not very old hence you need to pull punters / buyers in , it just takes a little thought and preperation , email your old customers from ebay tell them you can do items a little cheaper here , still use ebay for some sales and add a flyer into your parcels with your ebid id it`s all about advertising yourself , we in the uk are seeing good sales but we are in our teen years now lol and have been promoting ourselves and ebid a lot longer

Well, it's always been like that to some extent. I got my one neg in 400 transactions a couple of years ago, a total idiot who negged me a couple of months after the sale without giving me any opportunity to address his problem.

The difference is that now it won't just be idiots negging us, it'll be the occasional shrewd+evil buyers.

Still, I guess I have to go back to eBay to sell my Ford Escort Estate. Some things just don't seem to list on this site -- over there there's dozens and dozens of Ford Escorts for sale and decent competition. Here I can't find even one.
